One Method of Partial re-root of Tressy head

(all thumbnail pictures)

This poor Tressy came to me with burnt hair at the front.
I warmed her neck with a hairdryer & removed her head from her body. this girl also needed a body transplant!)
The damaged hair was removed with tweezers.
For this doll I had a spare short centre strand that gave me enough vintage hair for the replacement.
On this particular doll I found it easiest to remove her centre strand & work through the hole in Tressys head.
Stitching into one of the original root holes out through the hole in the head & then back into one of the root holes again - this will hold firm for styling.
I worked several strands until all the hair was replaced
I leave the hair as long as possible till it is  finished. Then I softly curl the new strands before I trim them - this saves it having a 'just cut look'. Then I style & trim to make her look as if she just came off the production line!
